Most Americans grow up playing little league. Baseball used to be America’s number one sport. Unfortunately, it is only number 2 now behind football. I’m not sure about the stats, but I think more kids play baseball than football. Regardless, I still want my kid to play catcher like me. For Christmas, I’m getting him Rawlings catchers mitts.

Despite it being the number 2 sport in America, baseball is still a great American sport with a great tradition. Everyone in my family plays baseball. In fact, I still have 2 of my Rawlings catchers mitts. I loved and still love those mitts. I remember my dad giving me my first one on my 12th birthday. It fits perfectly in my hand. It is beautifully made and the smell of leather is intoxicating. Plus, breaking it in was a breeze.
