Non-golf playing people like me often wonder why so many people are so into golf. It looks like such a boring activity. Think of all the other things you can be doing rather than walking the grass under the heat of the sun. People say it is good exercise. I can agree with that. People say it is relaxing. Huh? Have you seen Tiger Woods exhibit his temper when he makes a bad stroke?

But a lot of people do like to play golf. They like to lug around their golf bags with their woods, irons and Odyssey putters. To me the part of the game that I like to watch the most is the putting part. It is a gentle stroke that is played on the green with a putter. The ball never leaves the ground. Once on the green, the ball is struck with the flat faced club to roll it along the ground toward the hole until it falls into the cup. It is awaited with much anticipation and I love to hear the cheers that usually follow a successful putt.
