gymnasium equipment
The numerous and diverse apparatus in a gym can be daunting and confusing to novice exercisers. These people may be overwhelmed by the gear’s heftiness, manifold uses and functions, and various sizes. In reality, however, there are only two basic types of gymnasium equipment. These are free weights and machines.
Free weights, in general, are lighter and more portable than machines. Barbells, dumbbells, weight plates, and bars are examples of free weights. Machines, on the other hand, are sturdy fixtures that allow users to perform a variety of exercises. There are machines that target only one specific part of the body, and multi-station types that give a comprehensive workout. The leg curl, hack squat, lat pull down, and pec deck, are all gym machines that enhance muscles in the legs, the back, and the chest respectively. Cables and pulleys are considered machines too, though they are simpler than the ones made of steel.
