A Device that Provides Important Information to Divers
Divers require a lot of information while underwater. A scuba diving computer is a big help to the diver. It allows a lot safer bottom time than diving off tables. Some information that dive computers provide include the current depth, maximum depth reached on this particular dive and the time remaining at the current depth without the need for decompression stops on ascent. Other models will display water temperature and ascent rate.
As you might have guessed, there are different kinds of scuba diving computer. The wrist dive computer is popular. They look like and are worn like a wrist watch. They are easy to use and you get information you need at a glance. A console dive computer is attached to the rest of the equipment via a hose. The console dive computers typically come with a pressure gauge, unlike the wrist mounted option.
