Getting Support
Soccer is one of the sports that my kids love. Both of them play for their team in school, and despite the fact that I am proud of what they have accomplished a typical mother like me would still get worried. When they were kids they would often come home from soccer games with injuries. For a mother, it pains to see your kids having a hard time especially when they are not able to do things as normal as possible.
Whenever they have to attend competitions or even practices for that matter, I always make sure that they bring all their protective gear with them. There was a time when my son had forgotten his soccer ankle protection and went home with a sprained ankle that afternoon. He had to stay home for a few days before the swelling subsided, after that it took him a long time before he can walk back normally.
